Fraser Square Safety Project!

Fraser Square –  Kings Highway, between Ave. M, East 34th & E. 35thStreets.  The Parks Dept. is exploring design options for a fence or low wall around the park to provide a safety barrier between the occupants of the park and traffic moving along the surrounding streets. Councilman Lew Fidler has secured $320,000 for this project.

It’s My Park Day!

Volunteers will meet at the Nature Center, Ave U at 10:00 a.m. and will be provided with costumes, make-up and lunch before the event. Volunteers with their own costumes are welcome as are individuals who can assist part of the time (morning set-up 8 to 10 a.m. or afternoon take-down 3:30 to 5 p.m.).

Marine Park Community Hosts Landmark Open House Weekend!

Marine Park Civic Association and N.Y.C  Parks department will be  hosting a tour of the Hendrick l. Lott House located in the  heart of the Marine Park Brooklyn.  The Hendrick I. Lott House is one of fourteen remaining Dutch Colonial farmhouses in Kings County, and is going through historical restoration located at 1940 East 36th Street Brooklyn NY 11234 it is the pride of the Marine Park community . There will be tours of the interior as well as the grounds on  October 10th and Sunday October 11th from 12pm to 4pm on both days. Admission is  free and donations are  welcome.
